Looking for a fun way to spice up your next party? These are my favorite drinking games that always make sure to bring some excitement, laughter, and competition to the evening:
1. Drinking Roulette
- Players: 2-8
- Average Price: $25
- Average Playtime: 20-40 minutes
Inspired by the classic casino game, Drinking Roulette is a mix of luck and booze. Using a spinning wheel with numbered shot glasses, players take turns spinning and drinking whichever number the wheel lands on. Some variations allow players to fill certain glasses with water or juice to keep things unpredictable. The game is fast, fun, and can get wild quickly, making it perfect for those who love high-stakes drinking.
2. Drunk Jenga
- Players: 2-10
- Average Price: $20
- Average Playtime: 30-60 minutes
Drunk Jenga takes the already intense balancing act of Jenga and adds a hilarious twist. Each block has a different rule or challenge written on it, such as “take two drinks” or “twerk or shot”. You can also add your own rules as punishments if someone wants to skip a block, to make sure someone doesn’t end up on the toilet immediately. As the tower gets more unstable, so do the players! It’s a fantastic way to mix drinking with skill and creativity, ensuring plenty of laughs along the way.
3. Ludo Drinking Game
- Players: 2-4
- Average Price: $30
- Average Playtime: 45-90 minutes
Ludo got a boozy upgrade in this version of my childhood favorite. Each time a player’s piece gets sent back to the start, they take a drink. Rolling certain numbers or landing on opponents’ pieces can also trigger drinking rules. The game’s slower pace makes it a great option for a longer drinking session, giving you time to enjoy your drinks while still embracing the competitive spirit. The board and shot glasses are made of glass so do be careful! But this also makes it quite a nice gift for your favorite drinking buddy or childhood friend.
4. Monopoly Board Crawl Game
- Players: 2-6
- Average Price: $25
- Average Playtime: 2+ hours
Monopoly Board Crawl can be frustrating at the best of times, but throw in alcohol, and you’ve got a recipe for fun chaos. In this drinking version, players take sips or shots depending on actions like landing on certain properties, paying rent, or going to jail. Some hardcore versions even involve a real-life “pub crawl” to match the properties on the board! If you have the stamina for a long, tipsy game night and love Monopoly, this is for you.
5. The Last Leg
- Players: 2+
- Average Price: $10
- Average Playtime: Varies (based on match length)
Football and drinking go hand in hand, and The Last Leg turns any match into an interactive drinking challenge. Players set rules before the game, such as taking a drink every time there’s a corner, a yellow card, or a missed goal. For added drama, taking a shot for every VAR check can really up the stakes! The game is perfect for football fans who want to turn any match, exciting or dull, into an unforgettable drinking experience.
No matter which game you play, always drink responsibly and know your limits. No one wants to end up in the toilet. Most importantly, have fun! Skål!
Happy gaming, Erika 🙂
